Pedra Da Gávea & Parque Nacional Da Tijuca

Pedra da Gávea (Topsail Stone) is the largest monolith in Latin America. Its a bold hiking inside the Tijuca Rain Forest. Leaving Barrinha neighborhood (west zone), you will hike through the woods with great chance to see monkeys and squirrels. The track ends at the summit of the Gávea Stone, 842 m high,offering you sweeping views of the South and West area beaches, the Lake, Sugar Loaf and Christ Redeemer. Easy rapel in Carrasqueira for descent.
